This term the children are designing and making their own paper carrier bags.  They have already been conducting their own research, looking at different types of bags.  Today we were discussing the materials which they are made from and beginning to examine how they are constructed.

The photographs show the children disassembling some of the samples which they brought in.  In this way they can see the shapes of the templates used, which will help them decide how they will make their own bags.
