Harvest Poems

Date: 2nd Oct 2015 @ 9:06am

As we are celebrating harvest this week in school, Class 3 decided to write some poems about the colours of autumn.  We began the writing process by visiting the school grounds to identfiy the range of colours on display and to collect some items to help us with our ideas.  We then wrote a list of adjectives for all the objects we could think of.

The children put their ideas into poems using the structure orange as, red as etc.  They chose 3 items that were that colour and used their best descriptive language to create images in the readers mind.  The children did an amazing job of writing their poems I have included some examples of the verses so you can see how well they did.
