Rocket Seeds

Date: 18th May 2016 @ 10:15am

Class 3 (with the help of classes 1 and 2) have planted 200 rocket seeds!  One of the packets of seeds has been on the international space station with Tim Peake.  We are taking part in a national experiment to see if we can work out which packet has been in space.

Class 3 have been looking after the seedlings as they grow and recording the results on a chart.  Out of the 200 planted we still have 130 plants growing!  So far we haven't seen any difference in the seedlings and we are finding it quite hard to predict which packet has been in space!

In collaboration with class 4 we have come up with a prediction - we think the red packet of seeds has been in space as they are not growing very well and are looking a bit sad and droopy.  We are not sure whether it is the lack of gravity or the radiation that could have caused this.  The experiment finishes today so hopefully we will find out soon whether we are correct or not.
