We went on a caterpillar hunt!

Date: 6th Oct 2015 @ 7:22pm

As part of their sciencelesson this afternoon, children in Class Four conducted an investigation to look at how creatures adapt to their environment through evolution, to enhance their survival.

Our 'caterpillars' were actually different coloured strands of wool, which had been randomly distributed in the school environment.  Children then worked in groups as the 'predators', to find as many of the caterpillars as they could.

The purpose of the investigation was to see which, if any, of the caterpillars were easier to find.  They then wrote up their investigation in their science books to record their findings.
