Spellings

Spelling tests take place on Friday mornings. Weekly spellings lists are differentiated for Year Five and Year Six children - Year Five can choose to learn the Year Six spellings if they wish. Please encourage your child to learn their spellings each week. For any children who would like further challenge than this, please ask for an extension list.

Children in Class Four also need to know all the Year Three/Four and Year Five/Six spelling lists. (You will find them on Page 23 of the National Curriculum 'Spellings' document.)

If children have any difficulties with learning the spellings, please talk to me and we can work together to help them. Some children may have separate lists to help them focus on specific areas.
