The Wider Community

The wider community

Children are encouraged to think about and care for others and the school often participates in appeals for help from aid agencies and charities. They are also very supportive helpers for the Guide Dogs for the Blind and collected enough money to name their own puppy, which was named Peter.

We have adopted a new pet - a collecting box for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Thank you to Beryl Moss for arranging for us to keep him in school. Please feel free to donate your pennies and pounds at any time. In this way, we hope to collect enough to sponsor another guide dog.

Children went to Iddenshall Hall Care Home to visit the residents and take part in an Easter Bonnet competition, organised by staff at Iddenshall. Winners were given Easter eggs and all the children were treated to afternoon tea on the lawn.

A Sports Day was also arranged for our Key Stage One children and they had a wonderful time, running races and eating ice-cream!

This display was made by children in Years Five and Six. They each did a piece of persuasive writing in various formats, to encourage people to get involved in fundraising for Comic Relief. The school raised money in a variety of ways.
