A fantastic week

Children in Class One have settled really well and are learning lots of new things. 

So far we have had a visit from Granny Pat, who told us all about her childhood and how the school and local area has changed. 

We looked at lost of old photographs of the school over 50 years ago and compared it to our classroom now.

In maths we have been learning to order numbers and place value. The children have worked hard to learn about tens and ones using numicon and base ten.

In literacy we have begun to write our own adventure stories based on the book 'Paper Planes'.

And of course theres still lots of time for fun and choose time- our new kinetic sand has been a huge success.
