Rewarding achievement

Our Mission Statement ‘Be the best you can be’ is embedded through school life. Every child knows that all their efforts matter, whether it is in written work, sport, music or other creative areas.

A display stands in our entrance hall and celebrates the efforts, achievements and successes of all the pupils. Each week awards are given at Key Stage One and Key Stage Two, which acknowledge effort that may have been carried in class work or in other ways. Awards are also given for sporting achievements and sustained effort over half a term.

Children are also encouraged to celebrate other achievements, including those outside school and they often bring certificates or trophies into assemblies. Other awards celebrate sporting efforts, concern for the school environment and care for others.
