Class 2 week ending 19th March.

Date: 20th Mar 2021 @ 3:06pm

Another week has flown by!  Time flies when you are having fun.

In Class 2, we have continuted to learn about rivers and found out about how they shape the landscape. We have started an art project where the children are weaving with different colours and materials, the end result will hopefully look like water.

On Wednesday, Miss Seddon joined us again. We all enjoyed a Science Day. We created electrical circuits with sweets and chocolates, using the scientific symbols to label them. We all understand that electrical circuits will only work if they are continuous and have an unbroken flow. In the afternoon, we learnt about Thomas Edison and his contribution to the world of science. We were fascinated by many of the facts we learnt about him, including the fact that he has partially deaf and that he didn't attend school.

In Maths, we have continued to learn about fractions. This week we were able to order and then add tenths. In Literacy, we have started a new story The Boy Who Grew Dragons and completed some dictionary work on new words.  We have created non- fiction texts on Rivers and Thomas Edison and have enjoyed writing in this style.
