Class Four 18th September

Date: 18th Sep 2020 @ 9:37pm

Already we have had three weeks back in school and I am so pleased that the class has settled so well, and is beginning to pick up pace and really address themselves to learning. We have completed some creative writing this week, worked on Roman numerals, problem solving and negative numbers.  We have also begun today to construct our Egyptian sarcophagus and mummy - don't worry, it won't be a real one!  In Science, we have been looking at how our eyes work, so that we see light and objects.

Several children have unfortunately suffered from colds and had to be absent, but colds are a usual hazard at the start of term.

To help the continuation of learning, the children now have their access to Google Classroom, and as well as their homework tasks being available to see and complete online if they wish to, I am attempting to start putting weekly outlines of work (to include Maths, Literacy, Topic work and Science for the moment).  If children do need to be absent for any reason, work will therefore be available for them to do, continuing the planning and lessons which are being completed in school.

We have demonstrated and used Google Classroom in school, and today they have learned how to use Google Drive to complete work and store it, which should be helpful to them.

This may be increasingly important depending how the situation changes through the winter.  If you have questions about any of the work, or about access to it, please contact me via email.
