Class Four - week ending 7th May

Having had a Bank Holiday on Monday, the week seemed to pass by very quickly!

We have completed looking at Flotsam, our Literacy focus and have moved on to the task of developing a piece of creative writing from it. This involves thinking of a backstory for a character and building interest by using detailed description and figurative language.  The process goes from talk, vocabulary development, drafting and editing, so it will be next week's big task.

We have also discussed the phases of the moon in science, practised new vocabulary and sentence work in French, as if we were ordering food in a cafe, and starting discussing the life of Buddha in RE.  Actually, the highlight of the week was getting caught outside at lunchtime in a wild hailstorm!
