First week back

Date: 10th Jan 2020 @ 8:03pm

We had a good first week back, starting our new topic of The Titanic, which seems to have sparked the imagination and interest of everyone. The topic has begun by looking at transatlantic passenger travel in 1912, and looking at the size and construction of the Titanic.

Science also got off to a good start with our study beginning with the formation of fossils, where the children worked in groups to createa model of how layers of rock build up over dead animals, turning them into fossils. Their model used slices of different colours of bread and 'fossil' sweets.  It certainly helped to understand the idea.
