Insulators and conductors

Date: 26th Mar 2021 @ 3:52pm

This week, we have been exploring insulators and conductors through our electricity topic. The children had a great time investigating which materials would let electricity travel through them. They made predictions and then tested their ideas out in pairs. The children used a variety of objects made from different materials such as paper clips, cardboard, felt, plastic, wood lolly sticks and a copper coin. To accompany this learning, the children created fact files about the inventor Thomas Edison.

We have continued to learn about fractions, looking at ordering fractions and understanding equivalent fractions using their own fraction wall.
