We Went to the Circus!

Date: 16th Feb 2017 @ 9:34am

On Wednesday 15th February, we went to see the Moscow State Circus in Manchester.  We are using the book Leon and the Place Between in literacy which is set in a circus.  Mrs Tench realised that only a few of us had visited a circus so she set about finding one so we could experience a real life circus.

When we got there, we couldn't believe the size of the big top.  We were all very excited, including the adults.  Inside the tent, we found our seats, which were fabulous, and waited for the show to begin.

There were lots and lots of wonderful acts.  The strength and skill of the performers amazed us and the clown was really funny.  We saw acrobats that jumped into the air and twisted and flipped.  Tightrope walkers that performed incredibly scary tricks.  At one time, there was three of them on top of each other walking across and one lady even did the splits across two of the mens shoulders.

Throughout the performance, we were mesmerised by the acts and we had the best time.
