week ending 11th March

The children have explored non- fiction texts this week. Initially, they found writing their own very tricky, but I was very impressed with their effort. By the end of the week, every child had an information text to be proud of. The children had included headings, sub-headings, an introduction, fact boxes and photographs, pictures and captions. We will continue to work on more writing next week, where the children will have the opportunity to complete some information writing about Boudica and her rebellion against the Romans. 

It was lovely to meet with parents this week and share how well the children have worked since our last meeting in the Autumn term. We also discussed the residential, which is now only a few days away. It was great to hear how excited the children are. Let's all pray for good weather.
