Week ending 14.2.20

Date: 14th Feb 2020 @ 1:34pm

Thank you to everyone who came to our Stay and Play yesterday. We had a lovely morning making Valentines crispie cakes and Valentines cards.

At Forest School this week we collected sticks and made ‘stick jenga’ towers. We had to be really careful when we put the sticks on the tower because they rolled and wobbled. We also had to measure the sticks to check they would fit on the tower.

We have done lots of phonics and reading this week. Reception have worked hard using magnetic letters to sound, blend and spell different words with their phase 2 and 3 phonic sounds.

We have worked on the names and properties of 3d shapes this week . We have found them in our classroom, sorted them and made them in playdough.

We have also investigated magnets. It was lots of fun testing different materials to see if they were magnetic and also  learning about magnets that attract and repel.
