Week ending 16.10.20

Date: 16th Oct 2020 @ 1:47pm

This week has been a busy one concentrating on phonics and maths! We have counted in lots of different ways and used all sorts of different resources to practice our counting and number recognition. We have worked hard to make sure we count with one to one correspondence.

We have also really worked hard on our fine motor and scissor skills. We have played in spaghetti and used scissors to cut it up as small as we can. We have made string pictures with lots of sticky glue. Moving the glue carefully to make a lovely picture.

We have read ‘Leaf Man’ and made some lovely autumn leaf pictures. In the woods we made our own leaf men, leaf ladies and butterflies. We had a great fire this week and some delicious hot chocolate. We have also written our own autumn poems, thinking about what is red, yellow and brown like the leaves on the trees.
