Week ending 2.10.20

We have had a busy week working on numbers and counting as well as phonics,  writing and reading. Reception have worked on making cvc words with their phonic sounds  s a t p I n m d g o. We read Whatever Next by Jill Murphy and had a lot of fun re-telling the story with a really big box and lots of props. We also drew a picture from the story and wrote a caption to go with it. Reception and Nursery’s writing was amazing!

At Forest School we learnt about hedgehogs - what they eat, when they are awake and what it means when they hibernate. We made some cosy nests for our hedgehogs. This week we had a lovely warm fire and hot chocolate and biscuits. 

Tadhg brought in some conkers and we used a hand drill to make a conker caterpillar. It was tricky but we managed!
