Week ending 23.5.25

Date: 23rd May 2025 @ 1:24pm

This week has been Stem week. We have done lots of practical activities to develop our engineering skills! Following on from our work about rivers we have focussed on building bridges. We worked inside using lots of different blocks and experimented to see how strong our bridges were. We talked about how our bridges needed steps or ramps so people can cross them. Our bridges were really strong. Some of us showed a lot of resilience- the blocks were a bit wobbly and the ridges needed making again. We also experimented to see how to make them stronger.

We also made bridges outside that were big and strong enough for us to walk on. Everyone was involved - some of the Nursery bridges were great.
Once we had lots of bridges outside we told the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff - there were some angry trolls in the garden!
