Week ending 3rd November

We have started to create a new role play area. We are making a soup shop - this fits in with our work about the Pumpkin Soup book we read before half term and some work we  are doing about healthy food. We are going to make some soup in school, but first we have talked about lots of different vegetables and made a list of our favourites. We used knives to practice our cutting skills so when we make soup we can cut the vegetables ourselves. 
We had a good time investigating printing. We used autumn leaves to print and also some sweetcorn. We had to carefully put the paint on the leaves with a roller and on the sweetcorn with a brush.
We have also talked about what a family is and how all our families are special and different.
