Week ending 4.12.20

Date: 4th Dec 2020 @ 1:23pm

What a busy week! We have been practicing our Nativity play in the church ready for next Tuesday and sorting out our costumes.

As well as working hard on our phonics and numbers we have used the scales to work on weighing and balancing. We experimented to see which objects were heavy and light. We also used cubes to make the objects balance. We worked hard.

We investigated ice this week. We filled some gloves with water and colouring and then put them in different places to see which would turn into ice. The glove on the wall in the garden froze a tiny bit when Jack Frost came visiting! The best ice was made in the freezer. It was so cold and hard!

We read the story ‘The Disgusting Sandwich’ and write our own recipe for a disgusting sandwich. In the afternoon we went to the woods and made disgusting sandwiches and learnt about badgers. It was a lot of fun!
