Week ending 4.2.22

Date: 4th Feb 2022 @ 1:19pm

This week we started talking about The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We told the story with our puppets and we also went outside and made a big bridge in the garden. We made bridges inside and tested them to see how strong they were. We also worked on our writing and wrote sentences about the story.

On Tuesday we celebrated Chinese New Year. We had noodles and sweet and sour sauce for snack. We used chopsticks and counted how many pieces of pasta we could pick up. We also looked at Chinese numbers and Chinese writing - we had a go at writing Chinese characters. We also learnt about tigers and made some tiger masks. We made Chinese lanterns and also had a go at making some Chinese dragons. We watched some Chinese dragon dancing - it was very good!

We’ve worked hard on our numbers and phonics too this week.

In the woods we made birds nests and listened to see how many birds we could hear. We played a wiggly worm hunting game that was good fun.
