Year Five in school

Date: 24th Jul 2020 @ 9:34pm

A big thank you to Year Five who came into school this week to join me, ready to be thinking about being Year Six in September.

We really had a lovely week together, settling back into friendships, catching up on news and thiking ahead to next academic year. We worked on Maths together, wrote about dragons, created dragon eye pictures and other art, so that we will have some lovely work to put on the walls in September.

To finish the week, we went into the woods and tidied them up, then rebuilt one of the 'bug hotels' to encourage the wildlife to set up home there.  Earlier in the week we also went pond dipping, finidng lots of baby newts, as well as pond skaters, a scorpion beetle and a variety of other pond life. That inspired some 'beetle art' as well.  We finished off the afternoon with some fun with the parachute - thank you Mr Hudson!

Thank you, Year Five - I had a lovely week, and I hope that you all did too!  Have a lovely summer break and see you all in September, ready to work hard!
