Welcome to the homework page.

Here you will find any copies of homework tasks that have been set for you.  Maths homework will be added depending on the task set.

Remember all homework is handed out on a Thursday and should be returned by the following Wednesday.  Homework returned after this time will not be marked.  If you can hand it in before Wednesday that would be great for me!  You all have a literacy and maths homework book that you need to look after.  You should ensure you present your homework neatly just as you would in the classroom.  Blue or black pens (no biros), use pencils for drawing and underline any dates or titles.

This half term our literacy homework will be focusing on our topic 'Modern Europe.'  After half term the homework will switch to grammar and comprehension.

Maths homework will link to the subject we are learning in class and will be an extension of this.  In addition to this, we will have a times tables focus each week and you should practise these at home regularly.

In addition to the set homework, we expect you to read regularly and record this in your reading journal.  Reading can be anything from your reading book, comics, magazines, newspapers or reading on the internet.  Make sure you record it.

Finally, you should be learning your spellings every week.  Don't leave this till the last day.  Learn them steadily over the week and try to use them in sentences so they stick in your head.  There is no point learning spellings for a test and then forgetting them straight away.

Organising yourself is key.  Don't leave your homework until the last moment.  If you spread it out over the week it will seem less of a task.  If you are finding any of your homework tricky or you know that you will struggle to get it all completed that week, talk to us.  We are there to help you.  Don't come and tell us the day it is due in thats the only time we will be cross!
