A quick update

Date: 25th Sep 2018 @ 9:31pm

What a wonderful few weeks!

We have had such a lovely few days. The children and staff have now settled into their new routines and we are all enjoying our new topic.  We have starting exploring the book, Leon and the Place Between and we have been really impressed with the children's engagement and enthusiam.Today, we went into the hall and used the parachute to make the big top in the story. We discussed and then wrote about what the characters could see, hear, smell and how they felt. Their responses were amazing.

The class have also enjoyed the introduction of the Magic Maths Wall. We have a number of the day, and they have shown excellent number skills in responding to the various challenges we have set. They have included multiplication, division and addition and subtraction facts.

Thank you all for completing the homework so well. Our room is getting increasingly full of capes, wands, magic boxes and various other props. Due to the enthusiasm and rate at which the children have completed the tasks, we are planning on sending out more maths in the next few weeks. Homework books will be returned to you on a Tuesday, to allow time for marking.

Many thanks.

I am looking forward to chatting to you at Parents' Evening.
