Year Six visit to Conway

Date: 21st Jun 2015 @ 12:57pm

Year Six will leave on Monday morning, shortly after 10.00am.  They will return at about 5.30pm on Wednesday.  (You will receive a text message if there is a delay.)

They have all had a great time today and the weather has been kind to us too!  They have been busy making new friends in their tutor groups and getting to know the High School staff. One group went on a beach walk to Llandwyn Island and the others took part in art activities which were inspired by the local landscape.

Aaron said: 'It's been a brilliant day!'

Tuesday:
Everyone has had a reasonably good sleep, having settled pretty well last time.  The weather is fantastic this morning, with brilliant sunshine and cloudless sky.  All are up and dressed and ready for breakfast with their tutor groups, then some will be going to Beaumaris Gaol, some on the beach walk and the others doing art.  They have all behaved really well and the HIgh School staff are very impressed with them.

The views over the Menai Straits are stunning - a fantastic day for the group doing the kayaking, canoing or raft building.

'We all loved the water sports!' - Will, Bobby, Owen.

'It was amazing!' - Isaac

The day was finished off with a Talents Show followed by a very loud disco!

Wednesday:

The children spent time with their tutor groups preparing an assembly for an audience of well over 200 people. They all took part and performed before we finally left - etremely tired, but with lots of great memories.

We are very proud of all the children, who conducted themselves brilliantly during the three days and all of them made great impressions on their new teachers.
